The following steps were created using

version of Outlook you have, from the Help
menu, click About
Microsoft Outlook.
If you have another version of Outlook
2000 (e.g., Internet Mail Only), you may
need to go to Configuring
Microsoft Outlook Express. If you have
Outlook 97, 98, or 98 Internet Edition, go
to Configuring
Microsoft Outlook 97/98.
From the Tools
menu, click Services.

From the Services
dialog box, click Add.

From the Add
Service to Profile dialog box,
click to select Internet
E-mail. Click OK.

From the Generic
name Properties dialog box, in the Mail
Account text box, enter a name for
the account (i.e., any generic name you
prefer), in the Name
text box, enter your full name, in the Organization
text box, enter the name of your
organization, in the E-mail
address text box, enter your e-mail
address (e.g., ID@forexample-domain.com),
and in the Reply

Click the Servers
tab.

Under Incoming
Mail Server, in the Account
name text box, enter your POP
account name (e.g., your
POPID), and in the Password
text box, enter your POP account
password.
If you are using your ISP SMTP server for
outgoing mail, and your ISP requires
authentication, click to select My
server requires authentication. If
you do not know if you are required to be
authenticated for outgoing mail, contact
your ISP.
Click
the Advanced
tab.

Under Delivery,
click to clear Leave
a copy of messages on server. Click
OK.
By
disabling the Leave
a copy of messages on server
option, your e-mail client will
automatically download your Inbox e-mail
messages to your local computer. We
recommend you leave this option disabled
to prevent old e-mail messages from taking
up your hosting account's limited disk
space, thereby reducing the chance that
your account will experience an
overage.
